Packer is an open source tool for creating identical machine images for multiple platforms from a single source configuration by hashicorp. Packer is lightweight, runs on every major operating system, and is highly perform ant, creating machine images for multiple platforms in parallel. Think of it as creating AMI in amazon or OS images in Azure.
Here are some example to create Machine Images on Different cloud Providers:
